Technical Information

The 100 jacket is made for urban cyclists' journeys in wet weather. Its shape means it covers your lower back, arms, neck and wrists when you're sat on your bike, protecting you from the cold and wind. There are vents under the arms to help air circulate. You can wear your helmet over the hood. You can stuff it into its back pocket to make it easy to carry with you everywhere you go.
The material's durability, coating and sealed seams make the garment waterproof. A fabric's waterproofing is determined by measuring its resistance to the pressure exerted by a water column, measured in mm (test based on ISO 811 standard). The higher the pressure, the more waterproof the fabric. Our component has a waterproofing resistance of 2000 mm and can resist the pressure from 2,000 mm of water (the equivalent of a rain shower lasting around 2 hours - 6 to 12cm of rain in 1 to 2 hours).
Hydrophilic coating (RET = 12): limits condensation inside the garment. To find out whether a fabric is breathable, we test its evaporative resistance or RET (based on the ISO 11092 standard). The lower its resistance, the more the fabric lets water vapour produced by the body escape, and the more breathable it is. For example: RET < 9 = extremely breathable fabric / 9 < RET < 12 = very breathable fabric / 12 < RET < 20 = breathable fabric / RET > 20 = slightly or not breathable fabric.
A rating to compare products' environmental impact
A product's environmental impact is calculated for its entire life cycle using various indicators. An overall rating (ABCDE) is given, allowing you to easily identify products with the best environmental performance by comparing similar products to each other (T-shirts, trousers, backpacks etc.).Decathlon openly displays the environmental ratings of its products. Our design team is based in Lille (France), right in the heart of the city where the weather varies hugely from dawn to dusk. All year round, we create and develop new products designed to enhance your cycling experience. In order to achieve this, before a product appears on the shelves it is tried and tested in real use so that we can develop and improve our rain product range.

Product test
100% watertight seams, tested in the lab. This product has passed a shower test of 60 L water / sqm / hour for 2 hour. This test reproduces the average conditions of a rain shower.

Stockage tips
Don't pack the product away when it is still wet as condensation and humidity may form. Leave your product to fully dry after use before packing it away.

Great product, great price
Used for 2 to 8 weeks
I'm 190cm /75kg and medium is a great fit. It's relatively slim cut so doesn't flap about. Reflectives are good and is waterproof as advertised, although the longest I've worn out for in the rain / snow is about 20 minutes.
I've been using it as a general commuting jacket for the last few weeks and it's been great as a general riding jacket with a couple of baselayer underneath in temperatures between -5 and 5. I wore it out on a weekend ride and it kept me warm on a couple of long descents and just about folded down into a jersey pocket for the climbs.

It's so great, nice and good quality
Really high quality jacket
Used for 2 to 8 weeks
I'd previously bought a more expensive coat by another brand but returned it because it felt flimsy and didn't have a hood. This is a really great coat, every feature you could need and really stands out, especially in the dark. It's the first waterproof I've owned that doesn't have annoying flaps of material either side of the zip that make it hard to fasten, but the zip is still waterproof. Packs away and keeps me dry without overheating - really well ventilated. One piece of advice - I'm a medium sized woman but I bought this in large because men's coats are often too tight at the tips, and it fits perfectly.
Reflectiveness, zip, pockets, wristbands, hood
Only thing it's missing is a loop to hang it up
Good visibility, well designed
Used for 2 to 8 weeks
I use this as part of my layering for commuting in the winter, and so far it has performed admirably. One word of caution is it may be a little tight across the shoulders, but not restrictively so.
Visibility, price
Slightly narrow across the shoulder
Value for money
Used for 3 to 6 months
Both my girlfriend and I got these when we got our new bikes.
They're lightweight and comfortable with a good fit thats non restrictive. Waterproofing works well and theres enough room to layer up underneath if it gets a little colder. Very visible at night which adds piece of mind.

It says that protect up to one hour of rain. 2 miles I have from home to work, less than ten minutes, and my arms arrive every is raining wet. I bought it because it will be enough to go to work, but it doesn´t work, never buy if you want to keep dry more than 10 minutes. Also it is difficult to clean the dirty of the city roads.
no waterproof, difficult to clean
Response of the brand
This item is indeed meant to be waterproof and the fabric is treated as such.
I'm sorry to read that your arms are getting wet. It is not a breathable jacket and I wonder if it's a strong build up of condensation. Tell me, do you ride with long or short sleeves?
Looking forward to hearing from you.
