Technical Information

Packing your bag for maximum comfort?
Put your bedding at the bottom. Carry heavy gear (tent, stove, food) closest to your back. Pack your clothes around these items. The groundsheet should be placed under the flap and the tent beneath the pack if there is no space inside. Keep a rainproof jacket and fleece close at hand. Place small items for daily use (sun cream, map, glasses etc.) in the pockets. If carrying a hydration pack (water bladder), this should be placed in its special pocket along the back.
How do I adjust the height of my bag?
Set the bag for the height you think will be correct and then adjust it (cf. "Adjusting your backpack"). With the belt on your pelvis, put the straps around the front part of your shoulders and the load adjuster straps (which are sometimes also height-adjustable) at an angle of around 45° (they should never be horizontal or vertical). When trying it on, if the back seems too short or too long, readjust and try again until you are satisfied.
How to adjust your backpack?
First, loosen all straps (shoulder straps, belt, load adjuster straps). Put the backpack on. For backpacks with a capacity of 50 L or more, place the hip belt correctly (it should sit over the pelvis) and tighten it. For smaller backpacks, the hip belt should be placed around the waist. Tighten the shoulder straps. Finally, adjust the load adjuster straps as needed.
Environmental measurements
Decathlon has chosen to inform you about the environmental impact of trekking backpack products for the duration of their life cycle. This work follows an experiment that began in July 2011 with the French Ministry of Ecology. Scores ranging from A to E were awarded based on comparisons between Quechua's backpacks only. Details on this project and the calculation methods used are available at
How is backpack volume measured?
The volume of each backpack is measured using a standardised method: we fill the main compartment as well as each pocket with little balls. We then empty the balls into a graduated container which provides the equivalent volume in litres with a tolerance ranging a couple of %. The weight indicated is that of our benchmark sample. There may be slight variations.
10-year guarantee
The warranty covers any backpack faults, except those caused by normal wear and tear and improper use. This special 10-year warranty will only be granted if the product and sales receipt is shown. If the product is under warranty, it will be repaired or exchanged for free. This commercial warranty does not affect any statutory rights that are applicable in the country of purchase.

Main fabric : 100.0% Polyester (PES) Lining : 100.0% Polyester (PES)

All our backpacks are tested in the field by users who represent the target market of the products designed, use under conditions identical to those found in typical use. In particular, our Field Test Missions team up our product managers with people not affiliated with QUECHUA to test, improve and validate our products.

Product test
We test the bag's resistance to abrasion, wear, its colour fastness under UV rays, after washing and its waterproofing in the laboratory and in the field. Subsequently, a mannequin simulates ageing of the weighed down bag over the years using fast walking actions, over thousands of cycles, to check the resistance of assemblies. The components (fabrics, buckles, straps, foam, zips... ) are also tested separately allowing us to guarantee these bags for 10 years.

Stockage tips
Store your backpack in a dry place.

Maintenance tips
To ensure fabrics maintain their properties (particularly the waterproofing), we do not recommend washing them in the washing machine, tumble drying them, dry-cleaning them or using bleach. Do not iron. To clean your backpack by hand, use warm soapy water and a brush if needed. After a few years of use, you should renew the water-repellent properties of the fabric using a waterproofing spray.

Used for 3 to 6 months
I never received the bag. I brought this product and then when I was told it was being shipped I got an email saying it's out of stock and I had a limited amount of time to decide how to proceed. Brilliant customer care, well done Decathalon. If a product is not in stock then DO NOT SELL IT TO CUSTOMERS UNTIL IT IS IN STOCK.
great bag!
Used for 3 to 6 months
I bought this bag for a festival last summer, swayed by the colour and price, and didn't really intend to use it for much else. Then I went on a spur of the moment 3 month trip to Mexico and Central America after New Year.. I was going to buy another (more expensive therefore better right? Wrong!!) bag but then I thought, surely I can use the one I already have?? I'm so glad I did, it is the perfect size: big enough to fit loads in it (seriously don't go bigger than this, I reckon I didn't wear a third of what I took) but small enough not to be a complete pain to carry. It withstood getting thrown around on numerous bus/boat/plane journeys without getting a single mark or loose stitch on it so I'm really happy with the quality. It opens all the way down the front which is great for not having to tip everything up out of it when you're looking for something. I carried it around on my back all day while waiting for a flight and it totally comfortable! And the pinky/purple colour is super cute and totally fits with my aesthetic ;) So happy with it and of course the price is amazing... I can't wait to take it on my next adventure!
Great bag, lovely experience
Used for 2 to 8 weeks
I have fallen in love with this girly bag really quickly, it has a quite big and well-managed space for a few days or even longer tour. I already used it in light rain, did the job, although it is not entirely waterproof (as stated).
The rucksack is absolutely comfortable all day long. I am going to bring it everywhere I can! :)
Superb Pack
Used for 3 to 6 months
An excellent pack for the price- I've taken it on about 8 or 9 trips at this point and it's holding up well. The U-Zip is such a lovely feature as you can access all parts of the pack without unpacking and repacking. Parts holding up well so far. My only complaints are that it didn't come with a cover, so the one I got doesn't fit 100% exactly and that the padding sometimes shifts under the straps, though that's fixed with a bit of adjusting. LOVE this pack and get so many compliments on it.
