Technical Information

1
Backpack technical tests
All components are approved in laboratory tests, including: fabric, buckles, straps, foam, zips, etc. Example, for a fabric: resistance to wear, tearing, colour-fastness in UV rays, washing, waterproofing, etc. A final test on the finished product simulates the kind of treatment to which it will be subjected over several years, to assess the strength of the fabrication. The backpack is weighted then placed on a dummy which then reproduces the movement of fast walking through thousands of cycles
2
How is backpack volume measured?
The volume of each backpack is measured using a standardised method: we fill the main compartment as well as each pocket with little balls. Then we empty these balls into a graduated container, which gives the equivalent volume in litres.
3
A ranking to compare the environmental impact of products
The environmental impact of the product is calculated for the whole life cycle with different indicators. An overall ABCDE ranking has been created to make it easy for you to identify the products with the best environmental impact by comparing them with other similar products (T-shirts, trousers, backpacks, etc.). Decathlon has chosen to display this environmental information voluntarily. For more information: http://sustainability.decathlon.com/

Seams came off in first week
Used for 2 to 8 weeks
This was my day pack on a trek in April. Used it to carry my gloves, hat, scarf, spectacles case, some medicines, my lunch box, and a 1 ltr water bottle. Carried it all easily. But the plastic covering on the seam came off on one side- so there is a thin strip hanging inside the bag now, tangling with whatever i pull out from it. So it is just lying unused :(

The product is compact and foldale. Perfect for 2 days travel like for weekend travels. Perfect backpacking product. I brought bag two weeks before and I found one problem. The case attached to bag is not stitched properly. I do need help form decathlon to sort this problem
Convenient.
Used for 1 week or less
A thoughtful product that can be put into your travel luggage. I use it to carry my bridge camera and binoculars, on my nature trips away from home. All of them, along with my clothes will fit into one piece of luggage for travel. This foldable backpack will only be used when I leave behind my luggage in the lodge and set out with my binoculars and camera.
The foldable design. The water-resistant material.
None that I can think of.
waterproof but not durable

Response of the brand
Hello Anket Mohanty,

Thank you for your feedback on the Arpenaz 20 Ultra Compact bag.

Just to reiterate on the usage of the backpack, it is designed mainly to carry light things around the camp site or as a small additional backpack. They are not ideal to carry cameras as the lens might poke the seams and could rip them apart when under pressure. I would suggest you also to refer to the camera bag by Quechua if you are looking for one.
