I used this cycle for around 4 months. The cycle is excellent on road because I use it everyone to go to school and many places. Over all its a good cycle. But I my gears doesn't work properly. But I recommend this cycle
When shifting gears, the gears dont shift smoothly. even after the shift while applying pressure on pedal, the gear shifts again. Also front great does not shift to 3rd. only 1st & 2nd works.
I do not know why the front fender is not available for this bike. If i need to buy the back fender then i need to buy for rockrider 5.1 fender & use the back fender. front one is useless for me.
Thank you for taking the time to give us your review.
The drivetrain/ shifting problem can be solved by tuning the shifters. I recommend you to take the bike to the closest store and let the workshop technician try tuning the shifter. If the problem is still not solved, do write back to us and we will try to give the best solution from the store.
The mudguards that are to be used or the Rockrider 340 are separate for the front and back. You should use the seat post mudguard for the back and the MTB front mudguard for the front.
The only problem that i found with my bike is that its back gear is not working smoothly..
It is shifting one less than the required! i.eif i switch it to the second gear,it keep going in the 1st itself and i have to put it the 3ed to make the gear shift to the 2nd. I couldn't rectify this problem yet! Ive used this bike now for a year and this is the only problem I've faced..!
If you are looking for a budget bike a smooth mountain bike and get good comment from the people watching you ride this bike get a Rockrider 340 florocant green
Enjoying riding this bike.. Me and my son uses it regularly.... comfortable and smooth ride...! One suggestion.. the self maintaining tips need to be provided.. i am staying away from Decathlon store.. the lubricating oil is not avilable online / at stores.. since long time.. Pls. help
I bought this b twin bike thinking as a quality product like many others at Decathlon. Well I was entirely wrong. The first day I noticed when I try shifting from 2nd to 3rd speed of front... It's a matter of chance and at times one might end up the chain out thrown. Decathlon Rohini guys submitted it and there happened nothing for 9 days. I called up and next day they said it's ready with problem fixed. I sent my driver and the problem was still with a funny justification that this much of nuisance is normal and quite a character of the component installed into it. And, he added, I will have to go with it. Now, what was the point to retaining the bike for 10days if it was normal and was exhibited the problems it was supposed to!
Just because they are unable or unwilling to fix, they are making excuses like this. I wrote it here, however I am quite hopeless about the steps Decathlon managers will take!
Oh yes, one star bkoz you guys don't give option less than that. Congratulations!
Thank you for taking the time to give us your review. We are sorry for the unpleasant experience. The shifting, specifically of the front shifter can be tuned by the technician to give a perfect shift. I will get in touch with Decathlon Rohini to find out why the problem of shifting is persisting. The Rohini store will get in touch with you to provide a solution. We will replace the component completely if the Rohini store is convinced that it is the only solution.
Apologies, again from our side.

Been using it for some time. It's good. Ride it before choosing the right size.
It was the first ride of bike and rode it for 100 kms uphills and when i came back home i noticed there was a bend in back tire frame .. may be its too sensitive
Thank you for taking the time to give us your review. Apologies, for the bad experience you have had with the Rockrider 340. The Rockrider 340 is a leisure MTB and it will not be able to take a complete off-road terrain like a complete MTB (eg: Rockrider 520/ Rockrider 540). But it should be able to handle matted uphills and small trails. Depending on the terrain the wheels can get bent at certain times because of the change in tensions on the spokes. The wheel can be retuned and does not need replacement.
Please take the bike to the closest Decathlon store and explain the situation to the workshop. The bend can be removed by tuning the spokes.

The gear shifting is a problem
There are some accessories which are not compatible like the carrier, and the usual front mudguard. Also the front mudguard is too high and hence all the mud will fall on you!!On an overall, it is very good. Go ahead and buy it.
Front suspension and gear system
some accessories are not compatible......
