Amazing Cycle For XC
Used for 2 to 8 weeks
I decided to get my cycle from DECATHLON THANE directly as a checkup is done after the purchase. The Shimano ALTUS 9SPD works like a charm. The shifters have a good feel to them. The Hayes Hydraulic Brakes have Good modulation and power. The suspension works really well. I need to ride it without preload as my weight isn't enough to push it down (sag). The seats were not upto my expectations but were decent. This cycle is perfect for highway cycling (road bikes are better but this is more comfy). I would totally recommend this bike to any intermediate riders.
Color fading
Used for 7 to 12 months
I bought this bicycle last year. One of the reasons to go with this bicycle was the attractive florescent colour. But, i have noticed that the color is fading away. There was a big difference within 6 months and, when I enquired, at the decathlon store from where I purchased this bicycle, i was told that fading is not covered under warranty. A big let down.
The color of the bicycle fading away
Response of the brand

Thank you for taking the time to give us your feedback. The bike, I believe, we are speaking about is the rockrider 340. Its has 2 glowing (fluorescence) colors, yellow and orange. These colors will fade if the bike is stored at extreme conditions specially heat and rain. However, I will take your feedback and forward it to Btwin Team.

First Impressions and Fork issue
Used for 1 week or less
Front suspension already leaking oil! Also I believe parts like chainrings, deraileiur, forks assembled are phased out or not available on the individual product website. Definitely needs a user-giude/manual.For instance the front wheel came wobbley and loose while I was riding. Good that I noticed and clamped it tight into place. I only hope that I didn't damage the front disks due to this. Info like this should be addressed in the manual and the manual should be present in the first place I insist. Lets see if I get this fixed during the warrenty checkup and will update on my impressions further.

Fork Oil Leak and front tyre loosening!
Response of the brand

Hello Puneeth,

Thank you for taking the time to give us your feedback. Apologies for the ill-fitting front wheel. For the oil leak, we will have to get the suspensions examined by a workshop technician. Regarding the availability of spares, we list all our saleable spares on the site. There are other spares which are AMI products and cannot be listed.
We are working on providing manuals for all our bikes and we should be able to provide a hard copy and a soft copy through emails for everyone who purchases a bike.
Please do get the quick release system and the suspension checked in your free check up before 3 months from the date of purchase.
