Additional recommended products
Care products: spray or liquid water-repellent reactivator. To refresh the fabric's water-repellent properties and optimise your clothing's performance throughout its lifetime. We recommend using these products with each wash.
7
Warm and Windproof
Wind considerably increases the effect of the cold. With an outside temperature of 0°C and 20 km/h winds, it will feel like the temperature is -10°C. "Windproof" components help eliminate the discomfort linked to this "freezing effect". They are very effective at reducing heat loss by creating a barrier against the wind.

Water repellent items (above all not to be confused with impermeability)
Water-repellent fabric allows water to run off its surface without seeping in. This prevents the fabric from swelling, and keeps it lightweight and warm. A fabric becomes water repellent by applying a treatment to its outer surface. This treatment needs to be repeated during the garment's lifetime (we recommend after every wash). We sell products for this purpose in our stores. All Quechua Softshell items have received a water-repellent treatment.
9
A score to compare products' environmental impact
The product's environmental impact is calculated over its entire life cycle and with different indicators. An overall ABCDE score is attributed to help you more readily identify the products with the best environmental performance by comparing the same type of product (T-shirts, trousers, backpacks). For Decathlon, this initiative to display environmental data is a priority. Explanatory video: https://youtu.be/8t63KkRwn_8 sustainability.decathlon.com

Product test
Quechua is based at the foot of Mont Blanc, in Haute-Savoie (France). All year round, our design teams create and develop products that are appealing, simple and technologically advanced. We then test them in the field in collaboration with our technical partners and mountain professionals under the most stringent conditions. Because we remain convinced that it is only through rigorous testing under real-world conditions, like the ones you will be using them in, that we can continue improving.

Maintenance tips
Wash at 30°C. Do not use fabric softener, tumble dry, or iron.
