I purchased it in May 2017. It has been a pleasant ride so far. Did 100k+ plus twice and 50-75 km on a regular basis. The gear shifter, as many say is awkward to use, but it did not matter to me as it is my first bike. I easily adapted to it and now I just play with it at my will. The gear shifting is very smooth and ride is comfortable. The silver color is sober enough and matches perfectly with my two and four wheeler of same color. Being a starter bike the tyres (700*32c) are a boon as they do not scare you with being ultra thin as found in higher end road bikes.
I just hope the spares come to market soon. Especially the tubes and tyres.
The gear shift that triban 100 is offering is not at all for a gravel or a road bike category I have no idea who designed it and for what purpose but it's not a road bike at all with such gear shift positioning
Thank you for taking the time to give us your review. The Triban 100 is the entry level road bike. The bike has the sporty position for a road bike and the frame geometry of a road bike. The shifter is located on the handle bar which can be used by your right thumb. This the best we can offer for an entry level like at that price. Any other component/shifter / sleek wheels would have increased the price to a position that it is not accessible. I remain available for more questions.
