I earlier had a pricey hybrid - but this one opened my soul to the joy called cycling. It is smooth and is a pleasure to ride.
Starters - do not worry that the handle is curved ... if you want to enjoy cycling, this is your thing. Just get this one and thank me later.
However, I have a small complaint for Decathlon... as soon as I got my Triban 100 for 25K, Decathlon slashed the price to 20K. I feel bad about the extra 5K I paid.
It is a good road + gravel bike for Bangalore roads. The shifter placed on the handle actually helps. It seems to be a good starter road bike. At around 11 kilos, the bike is lightweight and sturdy.
Its been a week i'm using Triban 100, This was my first Geared Road cycle. And believe me, its been an awesome experience so far. I'm using the cycle daily for 12-15kms(Will be increasing the distance gradually).
Gear shift is smooth, braking is pretty good. Have purchased these accessories from Decathlon: Stand, Bottle stand, Bottle. Gel seat, A bell (unfortunately it isn't fitting, need to get it replaced), and a Helmet.
My average ride speed is between 10-14kmph (Will obviously vary from person to person)
Definitely worth the price.
but if you are new to road biking, this bike will not live up to your expectation after some days. It is better to go for an mtb
Good bicycle for road racing.
It’s a nice road bike. I’ve already clocked 100 km in 3 days. Gears are appropriate for city conditions. Saddle is the only con here which is on the harder side. Thinking to replace it with a better one. Anyways, it’s fun riding it!
An excellent entry level bike. Have been riding for about 10 days. Till now no problem at all. The gear shifters are on the handle bar and it takes time to get used to them. The chain is slightly noisy. Hopefully will get sorted out when I go to decathlon for the first service.
This is the first road bike that I rode. I discovered speed! Love to see a road bike at this price.
Quality road bike for the cheap price
Build quality is great . But the choice of components are poor. Btwin has done a lot of price cutting measures to keep the cost low. Index shifter are a bit odd to use. Although after a while u get use to them. Would love to see sti shifters ( any brand). The tires are a bit on the heavier side. They weigh 2 kg each and the frame of the bike weighs less then 2 kgs. Firefox does offer a road bike at 33k but they don't disclose the name of the material from which the bike is made of. So I bought this bike. Great bike for city an rough Mumbai roads.
