Perfect road bike....easy to ride....easy index shifter helps to manage gear easily. Perfect geometry for the perfect body posture with excellent aerodynamic features. The only concern is the saddle feels uncomfortable for the long rides.
I just completed my first maiden ride on this bike, did about 25km, Overall, this bike is great, its awesome performance on bangalore roads surprised me, try the breaks before you buy this bike.
The bike is not for everyone, test drive before you buy it,
At this budget, I had to choose between a good hybrid bike or the Triban 100, an entry level road bike. I am a beginner, and I couldn't convince myself to buy the more expensive road bike options out there, but I've always wanted to ride a road bike. So, I chose this, and I haven't regretted ever since. A very light, quick and easy to ride road bike at a very affordable price. Note that this bike uses thicker tires (32mm) than a normal road bike(23mm-25mm).
So if you are the kind of person who wants to buy a road bike, but is unsure whether it will suit your style, you can start with this one. And if you like it, you may then upgrade to a more expensive road bike in a couple of years. At least that's what I'm going to do!
It's my first bike, go for it, won't regret unless you are going competitive. Store Staff at wagholi,Pune were helpful.
I went to Decathlon Khelgaon Delhi. While the website here shows the bike with quick release for the rear wheel it is not the case in the store. In such cases what is the gaurantee that if customer wants a Triban 100 with quick release one they might send the same.
Can company be more precise in representation image please.
Liked everything about it. It is pretty smooth and good for city commute. I use it for my daily commute to office about 20km both ways. And I found the bike to be pretty responsive given any kind of road.
However I have following concern:
I am unable to tilt my saddle and it is causing little discomfort. I do not know the reason why the seatpost has fixed saddle mount. Looks like I have to change the seatpost to be able to tilt the saddle. Need some help here.
I earlier had a pricey hybrid - but this one opened my soul to the joy called cycling. It is smooth and is a pleasure to ride.
Starters - do not worry that the handle is curved ... if you want to enjoy cycling, this is your thing. Just get this one and thank me later.
However, I have a small complaint for Decathlon... as soon as I got my Triban 100 for 25K, Decathlon slashed the price to 20K. I feel bad about the extra 5K I paid.
Got this bike few months back. And I am totally loving it. Too good. And within this budget its beyond expectation.
Thanks to Decathlon.
It is a good road + gravel bike for Bangalore roads. The shifter placed on the handle actually helps. It seems to be a good starter road bike. At around 11 kilos, the bike is lightweight and sturdy.
Its been a week i'm using Triban 100, This was my first Geared Road cycle. And believe me, its been an awesome experience so far. I'm using the cycle daily for 12-15kms(Will be increasing the distance gradually).
Gear shift is smooth, braking is pretty good. Have purchased these accessories from Decathlon: Stand, Bottle stand, Bottle. Gel seat, A bell (unfortunately it isn't fitting, need to get it replaced), and a Helmet.
My average ride speed is between 10-14kmph (Will obviously vary from person to person)
Definitely worth the price.
