It’s a nice road bike. I’ve already clocked 100 km in 3 days. Gears are appropriate for city conditions. Saddle is the only con here which is on the harder side. Thinking to replace it with a better one. Anyways, it’s fun riding it!
An excellent entry level bike. Have been riding for about 10 days. Till now no problem at all. The gear shifters are on the handle bar and it takes time to get used to them. The chain is slightly noisy. Hopefully will get sorted out when I go to decathlon for the first service.
This is the first road bike that I rode. I discovered speed! Love to see a road bike at this price.
Quality road bike for the cheap price
Build quality is great . But the choice of components are poor. Btwin has done a lot of price cutting measures to keep the cost low. Index shifter are a bit odd to use. Although after a while u get use to them. Would love to see sti shifters ( any brand). The tires are a bit on the heavier side. They weigh 2 kg each and the frame of the bike weighs less then 2 kgs. Firefox does offer a road bike at 33k but they don't disclose the name of the material from which the bike is made of. So I bought this bike. Great bike for city an rough Mumbai roads.
Fantastic road bike for this price. I purchased it in Aug 2017
& has been ride around 1300 km till now. Although the bike has
seven gears but sufficient for beginners to commute. As this is
a road bike & the seating position is little bit aero-dynamic
as compared to the Hybrid or MTB, so it can bite you for first
couple of days but once you use to than you will feel on top of
the world bcoz it's light in weight & fast enough to drive.
Did many times 80km + comfortable rides with smooth gear system.
Wide tyres provides more grip on the road as well as on trails.
Even the brakes are very good & provides the good support for
safety while commuting.
Must have accessories with this bike to commute:
Multi-tool, Mini Air pump, Puncture repair kit, Water bottle or
hydration pack, Bell, Mirror, lights(atleast 400 lumens for night drive),
Good lock system & Helmet.
This is a fantastic road bike for the price. I've had this bike 5 months . I’m new to road bikes and love the performance. It has seven gears which is sufficient for the beginners also It's fast and so light to lift!.I find the gears system very smooth. It's good on the road as well as on trails. This wider grippier tyres allow this flexibility which I love.
I purchased it in May 2017. It has been a pleasant ride so far. Did 100k+ plus twice and 50-75 km on a regular basis. The gear shifter, as many say is awkward to use, but it did not matter to me as it is my first bike. I easily adapted to it and now I just play with it at my will. The gear shifting is very smooth and ride is comfortable. The silver color is sober enough and matches perfectly with my two and four wheeler of same color. Being a starter bike the tyres (700*32c) are a boon as they do not scare you with being ultra thin as found in higher end road bikes.
I just hope the spares come to market soon. Especially the tubes and tyres.
The gear shift that triban 100 is offering is not at all for a gravel or a road bike category I have no idea who designed it and for what purpose but it's not a road bike at all with such gear shift positioning
Thank you for taking the time to give us your review. The Triban 100 is the entry level road bike. The bike has the sporty position for a road bike and the frame geometry of a road bike. The shifter is located on the handle bar which can be used by your right thumb. This the best we can offer for an entry level like at that price. Any other component/shifter / sleek wheels would have increased the price to a position that it is not accessible. I remain available for more questions.
I used this bike today to complete the 50km Cyclothon 2017. I had a smooth ride, the gear shift worked perfectly and was really helpful in ascents. The bike is fairly light, so I can easily take it with me to the MTR. Overall, I am very happy with this bike and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a road bike.
