Technical Information

1
Waterproofing test
Footwear waterproofing test: laboratory- and field-tested, boots with a breathable, waterproof membrane ensure you have optimum protection from the rain. First, the shoe is immersed in water while internal air pressure is applied to check that no bubbles form on the surface of the footwear. They are half immersed and then placed on a mechanical arm that simulates walking: we then check that the inside of the boot remains perfectly dry.
2
3 levels of waterproofing
During the waterproofing test, we test 3 levels of waterproofing: 2000 flexes (around 2 hours of walking), 4000 flexes (around 4 hours of walking) and 8000 flexes (around 8 hours of walking). Of course, after this test or in use, the shoe regains its original waterproofing once dry.
3
Field test
The comfort of all our shoes is tested when trying them on and in use by typical users under the real-life conditions you will encounter in use. Our Mission Tests bring together the product manager with people who are not affiliated with Quechua to test, develop and approve the products.
4
Laboratory test
Other laboratory tests are also conducted to validate the following elements: torn eyelets and straps, bonding, toxicology, UV resistance, abrasion of the sole and the components of the upper, accelerated ageing.
5
What boot size should I choose?
For hiking, try taking one shoe size up from your usual to ensure optimum comfort when going downhill and to prevent your toes from hitting the toe box. Tip: keep your nails short and, before making your descent, check that your lacing prevents your foot from sliding towards the front of the boot.
6
Buying tips
Try on both shoes, standing up, wearing hiking socks. Try several models, several sizes if necessary. Check two comfort points: the base of the heel and the front part of the foot going down. Avoid all pressure points when trying them on. Feel free to walk around the store. Wear your shoes in gradually during the first hikes, to mould them to your foot.
7
Purchase advice
Not recommended on very stony paths. Do not use on tarmac over long periods.

Used for 7 to 12 months
Never had a problem
Awesome
Used for 1 week or less
Helped me lot during rains. Highly recommended
Extremely Comfortable
Used for 3 to 6 months
I'd bought this pair some months back for regular use in and around the city. My criteria was that it should have a firm grip, should be able to withstand the occasional rain and puddle, and give me firm footing when I take my canine companion to the park for a walk. It made the grade on all three parameters, and that too in spadefuls. In fact, I was so impressed with it that I went back and bought the gray version too!
Bad quality
Used for 3 to 6 months
Bought this shoe from Decathlon surjapur Used this shoe for one week in low rain and normal trekking after this water getting in.
Very disappointing from decathlon I never expect a bad product from you

Worst grip.

Once the sole of the shoes gets wet, it slips very badly. Even my sports shoes and also slippers have good grip than this shoes.

Good quality material. Nice shoes
Good
Used for 1 week or less
little bit slippery on rocks
Slippery on Any Wet Surface
Used for 2 to 8 weeks
Advertised as a nature hiking shoe but no traction/grip on a surface when it is wet, even rough surfaces like gravel and asphalt. Normal shoes and slippers have better traction than these shoes.

Comfortable Tough and Durable
Used for 2 to 8 weeks
Really good waterproof shoes for hiking/trekking. We really loved the way the shoes were so comfortable even though they are so tough and the fact that the waterproof coating actually works. We dint get water until like it was almost pouring from the open area. Really good shoe. Highly recommend it
Good quality shoes with 2 negative issues
Used for 2 to 8 weeks
Shoe quality is excellent. Good shoes in rainy season.
The only issue i am facing is after wearing these shoes i feel heat inside the shoes. So this heating issue makes me uncomfortable. The another issue is after using these shoes for trek, i washed it properly and kept them to get dry but they r smelling like a rotten leather. I dont know why.
