I went to Brahmagiri in Coorg with this shoe, waterproof is good, grip is good, but CUSHIONING is very very bad, it was just 29km trek and I ended up with blisters, knee pain, my running shoe was very comfortable in my previous trekking in kumaraparvatha, the PU midsole' is very hard it didn't help even after wearing gel insole, this shoe is not for trekking, don't buy.
Thanks for your time to review the Trek 500 shoes by Quechua. I apologize for the inconvenience caused to you.
To give you a small insight on this product and the reason that could be possible for the issue you face, the Trek 500 has a midsole added with an extra shank on it which reduces the feel of your feet on the ground and hence you feel its lesser cushioning, This is done to increase the durability of this shoe on longer treks and not to lose out the property of cushioning in the longer run. In case your usage requires you to have the roll of foot feel, I request you kindly to check out the Trek 100 shoe which gives a feel of better cushioning and is for less intense usage compared to the other and is durable also on this kind of usage. Personally, I use the Trek 100 shoe as I require the same feature you have mentioned.
I request you kindly to visit any of our stores closer to you and seek for an exchange or refund against the current shoe you have. I stay available if you need any further assistance with our products or services in the future.
Extremely faulty product. Water seeped in from everywhere - we bought two pairs and were forced to exchange them. Even the store manager at Decathalon was surprised to see the state of the shoes - and this state was only after 1 day in rain.
most comfortable trekking shoes from decathlon. odorless, comfortable, waterproof and non sweating. can use all day long
So far so good , I’ve worn them a lot during the bad weather of late , they are comfortable, weather proof highly recommended
I have owned these boots for almost 18 months and I must say they are very comfortable. However this weekend I went up Mount Snowden only to find the rain had penetrated the boot, so I was walking with wet feet in snow conditions, not a pleasant experience. Having double checked the specs of the boot, it confirms it is waterproof and comes with a 2 year guarantee. However as I've owned the boots for 18 months now I do not have the receipt. Having called the store where I purchased the boots from, they advised without the receipt they were not willing to do anything. I offered to show proof of purchase via a bank statement of which they reiterated without the receipt nothing would happen. Very disappointed with the quality of the boot and now the customer service. I'm due to go to Iceland tomorrow and now in a position where I have to buy another pair of boots. Prior to this weekends experience these boots would have scored a 5* rating.
Didn't even manage to leave the house, pulled out while doing up the laces
Thank you for your review of the Quechua Trek 500 boot. We are sorry to hear that the quality did not meet the requirements. As with all Quechua products we offer a two year warranty. I would recommend exchanging these at your local Decathlon. We are sorry for the inconvenience.

I walk my German Shepherd dogs on the surrounding hills for 3 to 5 Miles everyday and I have spent hundreds if not thousands of pounds over the years on waterproof boots, from top brand names to the less well known. To-date there is not one brand that In my experience has met the criteria of being “waterproof and breathable.”
These boots have a robust feel, the eyelets are functional and the leather is firm without being too hard. I am a little concerned that the soles are quite rigid and might not provide much grip on stone. The first wear was for a gentle 3 miles and no blisters. Time will tell whether these will be the boots to end my search.
I'm a seasoned hiker and bought these as I like the brand, these would be my second pair but a different style. My first lasted me 10 years before finally having to be replaced due to the sole being warm out because of the mileage covered.
This pair I believed would do just as well, that's until a month or after purchase the eyelets started to discolour. I thought no more about it. Then the plating started to come off and the metal rusted. This is with only being caught in light showers during the summer months, so no real test of harsh weather conditions. So now the lower 4 rows are rusted and quite abrasive, in turn frying the laces.
Returns policy submitted (212131), but told I have to send them back in original box! I didn't expect them to fail, so no original packaging!

Comfortable and waterproof. Used for two weeks walking in the Scottish highlands. Brought for my husband.
Bought these in July last year. They took me on a 22km rugged clime with a pack in Norway in the first week. No problems. I hike about 10-30 km a week year round, more in summer. No blisters, never wet, great traction, warm but not horrible in hot weather. I took them about 25km in a day at Petra in 35°C. Yesterday however, one of the riveted lace loops pulled out of the leather while I was tieing them in the airport... but hey... for
