I work as a full-time outdoor instructor and spend much of my day teaching people to paddleboard and kayak.
I have two young kids, some eager grandparents and a whole bunch of friends who always ask to go out. I decided I wanted to buy a well-priced paddleboard which was ideal for beginners and for friends wanting to give SUP a go for the first time.
I settled on the ITIWIT 100 board for a number of reasons; firstly at £329 it really is well priced for a SUP, particularly one of this quality.
One of the biggest differences you'll find between inflatable SUP's is the rigidity of them. Buy a really cheap one and it feels like your paddling a bouncy castle (!) which keep 'kicking' you off balance. This board doesn't do that. If you pump it up to the recommended PSI of 15, it provides a good level of stiffness for recreational paddling. Don't get me wrong, if you want to spend twice as much on a Red Paddle Co board you'll get even greater rigidity but your wallet will be twice as light.
The fin is solid - the plastic used is of good quality and will no doubt last a long time. Should you lose it or break it a new one is only £6 anyway which is much cheaper than a many other fins. Perhaps the only slight annoying thing with this board is that that sand gets in the system it can be difficult to push it all the way on.
It's dimensions make for a stable and pleasant platform which cruises nicely. I also used this to play in small surf and had a great time. The nose has a nice rocker (technical term for being banana shaped, end to end) which means you don't keep catching your nose and falling in forwards.
The coiled leash is good and is again of a good quality. The advantage of a coiled leash over a straight one is keeping things nice and tidy, plus you don't get it caught or stuck around your little one on the front.
Simply put, this is a very, very good board and would recommend it to anyone that is looking to get in to SUP or uses it as and when they go to the beach.

I already own a Red 10’8x34” board which is a phenomenal bit of kit but three times the price. I have also had but sold the orange version of this board for being too small for our needs.
We use ourboards as family kit be it myself or wife having a paddle with or without front mounted child or the kids and their mates treating them as toys with 6 of them on it. They are under 10.
We live near the beach and use them at least once a week after school etc.
So size wise in real life, this board is 1/2 inch less than the 34” Red. Thats a good because the wider the board, the more stable they are. At 6’2 and 100kg I could paddle the orange board even with a child on but it was twitchy. My wife did not get on with it at all. That said I also surf so probably have better balance and water confidence. The blue board is totally differant and is a lot more stable and fun. Is as stable as the Red? No. You pay for what you get and the extra thickness (4.5” v 6”) makes a difference raising your centre of gravity. Are you likely to notice a detrimental effect? Only if you already have a board that costs nearly £1000 so dont worry about it!! :)
Fin wise, it would be nice to have moulded fins especially for the kids getting it in the shallows with no care. However you get what you get and not had any issues yet.
Every pump is ultimately a fairly cheap bit of kit in terms of guage accuracy or lack of so there will be leaway in the psi. I dont have a Decathlon pump. I find just going above 15psi makes a positive difference for me at 100kg. Consider that the Red board is at 24psi! Clearly stick to 15psi though!
The bag is fine and it all packs down small.
We have the blue paddle (the only one that dismantles to fit in the bag!). It has noticable flex in for me compared to the basic Red paddle we have but again, you get what you pay for.
Ive done my research on these boards and I always recommend either this board on a budget or the Reds. We have friends with both who are equally delighted and we have friends with other brands who are not. This is a cheaper board as its from Decathlon, not because its a cheap board.
Easy simple ordering...... prompt delivery & great product easy instructions and on the water in 19 minutes
I love this board. Suitable for all the family. We are beginners. Ideal.
This is a useful piece of kit at a reasonable price. It is firm and stable. Unlike so many inflatable things it does actually deflate and go back into it's bag with ease. It can be hard work pumping it up to the correct pressure, but if you set the pump so that it only works on the down stroke once you reach about 10psi it shouldn't be too difficult. I'm an experienced canoeist and punter, so I had no difficulty from the start on calm water. Family members without any experience picked it up with the minimum of instruction. Don't go upstream against a strong wind until you've had some practice, then stand forward to keep the bow down, otherwise steering will be near impossible. Contrary to advise from self-styled experts it is possible to do crossbow steering strokes on this board without going for an unscheduled swim.
Hi. I went into the Edinburgh Decathlon store on Thursday to check the SUPs out ! The staff were more than helpful! Very informative and very friendly. Thry even helped me out to the car. The blue SUP was recommended by a SUP instructor and I had heard others talking about it. I took it out today for the first time and I was very impressed and enjoyed my time on the Blue SUP. Would highly recommend to anyone! Great price and very good value for money!
just been away with a friend who has a new Red 10 6 board this board is very similar (tried them back to back) quality appears to be on a par also very little difference in time to inflate , still managed full inflation in 5mins -
Itiwit Inflatables is one of the most durable standup paddleboards in the market. I am using it for my SUP programs. We used these boards in various conditions from choppy open waters to rapid rivers. I am highly recommending this product for SUP lovers.
Great Paddle Board, I have used it for sup surfing and travel down rivers. Comparable to the REd boards which cost twice the amount.
Also bought the pump which was great for 6 months but the seal on the pump has broken.
Why sell a paddle board with out a paddle!!!!!
I would never have bought it had I known I would have to buy the paddle and pump separately.
