Technical Information

Suitable clothing
The body produces heat during exercise, which is preserved thanks to the thermal insulation of the outfit. If the clothing is unfit for this purpose, the body will cool down and the blood flow to the hands will drop in order to keep the central core warm. The gloves and clothing should therefore be fit for their purpose in order to keep your hands comfortable. If you're not sure, it's always best to select a pair of hiking gloves that are slightly too big rather than too small.
Warmth from liner gloves = 3°C
When worn under your gloves, our Forclaz silk liner gloves provide an extra 3°C on average.
How is the temperature rating measured?
All our gloves are laboratory tested using a thermal hand to determine the level of warmth as well as the minimum temperature ratings. The temperature ratings (recommended and limit) are based on a study carried out on a panel of 23 testers in walking situations exposed to temperatures ranging from 5°C to -20°C and a 10 km/h wind. These temperatures are only valid in walking situations.
Dexterity of the liner glove
The dexterity of a glove is its ability to manipulate objects. Our gloves have been scored in the laboratory on a scale of 1 to 5. The closer the glove's dexterity rating gets to 5, the more the glove can handle objects like a bare hand. In particular, we tested how easy it is to get a jacket on and off with these liner gloves

Product test
Our design team is based at the foot of the Mont Blanc, in Haute-Savoie (France). All year round, our designers create and develop products that are appealing, simple and technologically advanced. These are then ruthlessly tested in the field because we believe that the only way to continually improve our products is to test them under the real-life conditions that you will experience.

Started getting loose very quick and fits average
Used for 2 to 8 weeks
The fit around the main 2 fingers with the fingertip to use on the phone, does not fit so well and still not comfortable using the phone. Rest of the hand is a nice snug fit so lets you use your hands for other things.
It started stretching and loosening a bit in my 3rd - 4th wear. Not completely happy with it, just double check what you are wearing it for and try it 2-3 times compare to the other gloves and then buy it.

These are really excellent value for money, they are a brilliant addition to the winter armory in the glove department, I can't praise their performance enough. They are a third of the cost of the closest product form other suppliers. I use them for cycling and the extend my biking year, I hate cold hands.

These feel substantial and well made. Bought for winter cycling and skiing so not tried yet. They aren’t as fine as my previous ones but may last longer.
The new silk gloves are not as effective
Used for 2 to 8 weeks
The new silk gloves aren't that effective as the earlier woven touch gloves. The stitch quality is also slightly low
