Women’s Winter Jackets
Winter is all about covering yourself with multiple layers of clothes. But does it really have to be that way? At least not with Decathlon’s jackets. One jacket will be enough to keep you warm. We design winter jackets that will keep you warm, hence protecting you from the chilly weather. Find a wide range of winter jackets for women only at Decathlon.
Women’s Mountain/Hiking Jacket: Are you planning to trek in the mountains? If yes, you’ll need a jacket to fight the harsh weather conditions in the mountains. We have designed a lightweight and compressible puffer down jacket providing protection from extreme cold during expeditions. It comes with cuts at the armhole to provide you freedom of movement. Our jackets can protect you up to -29°C and comes with a stuff bag, making it easy to carry around.
Women’s Snow Hiking Jacket: We designed this jacket for winter hikes in very cold and snowy weather. It can protect you from temperatures up to -10°C. This jacket is ideal for hiking in the snow as it comes with high coverage lined with a hood, warm pockets with a large padded flap behind the zip to gain an extra 3°C. It is waterproof, so you don’t have to worry even if it’s raining.
Women’s Trekking 3-in-1 Jacket: You can’t predict the weather conditions while you’re travelling. It could be sunny one minute and start raining the next minute. This is why we designed a 3-in-1 jacket that saves you from the headache of carrying multiple jackets. Buy a single modular jacket to replace 3 products and adapt to every situation. This technical jacket offers warmth, abrasion resistance, and a large discreet travel pocket with compartments to secure your belongings. It comes with removable layers, so you can remove it when it becomes sunny outside. It is also waterproof.
During winter, to keep yourself warm, you should go for a jacket that has been tested in the weather conditions. Whether you want a bulky jacket or a compact one, whether you're hiking or stopping for a rest, in cold or very cold temperatures, choosing the right padded jacket is not always easy.
Read below our advice to choose the right jacket for yourself before investing money in your padded jacket.
The outside temperature: The first question to ask when choosing a winter jacket is: in what temperature will it be used? In essence, all our winter jackets are tested to guarantee excellent comfort according to extremely accurate temperature ranges when hiking. To offer such a guarantee, our tests are completed under 5 km/h walking conditions, a light 5 km/h wind and with a full winter outfit: fleece underneath, a pair of gloves, warm trousers, socks and hats
FOR VERY COLD WEATHER (BELOW -10°C) - Bulkier down jackets has thicker padding which traps more air and protects you better from the cold. FOR COLD WEATHER (TEMPERATURES ABOVE -10°C) - Our range of micro-down jackets are better suited to warmer temperatures as they have less padding, making them lighter and more compact than bulkier winter jackets.
The intensity of exercise: Intense hiking refers to an activity requiring sustained effort (for example, because of changes in elevation). When on an intense hike or when hiking for several days, we recommend choosing a compact and light down jacket. Its compactness means it can be stored in a small pouch or in one of the jacket pockets so it can be carried easily in a backpack and used to keep you warm when you stop to rest. On shorter, less intense hikes, you'll be able to wear the down jacket so you should choose a less compact model.
