Technical Information

Feather origin
We are committed to being responsible for our production, and have decided to work only with RDS-certified suppliers (Responsible Down Standard Certified) who guarantee that the down and feathers used come from ducks and geese bred for their meat, and treated without cruelty. For more information: http://responsibledown.org/ http://developpement-durable.decathlon.com/documents-et-rapports/documents/
Fill Power of the down/feather filling
For this jacket filled with 85% down / 15% feathers, the fill power is guaranteed to be 800 CUIN (European standard) The fill power is the capacity of the down to insulate by "trapping" a certain volume of air. So, the more loft the down has (i.e. the higher the CUIN number), the more space it will occupy and the more air it will trap, thereby providing greater thermal insulation.
Weight of the filling
XS: 82 g S: 88 g M: 94 g L: 101 g XL: 108 g 2XL: 115 g 3XL: 124 g
The advantages of a duck down and feather filling*
The down's long-lasting fill power gives it 3 important qualities for hiking: - Thermal insulation thanks to the air trapped in the down and feathers - Ultra-lightweight: with equal warmth, feather is lighter than synthetic wadding. This saves even more weight in your backpack - Ultra-compressible
Care instructions for jackets filled with down and feathers
The down jacket can be worn throughout the winter and will certainly need to be washed. Follow the instructions by clicking the link below: http://www.quechua.com/wash-your-down-jacket
In the event of rain
The material of this padded jacket is water-repellent. It makes drops of water run off the surface, which delays the time it takes for water to get inside the down jacket, giving you time to get out of the rain. However, we advise you to wear a waterproof jacket over the down jacket in case of prolonged exposure to rain.
A score for comparing products' environmental impact
The product's environmental impact is calculated over its entire life cycle using different indicators. An overall score from A to E is given to help you easily identify the most environmentally-friendly products by comparing products of the same type (T-shirts, trousers, backpacks, etc). Decathlon is committed to displaying the environmental data of its products. For more information: http://sustainability.decathlon.com/

10 trekkers (5 men and 5 women), who are not linked to Quechua, tested this down jacket for a week of trekking in November 2016, in the Mont Blanc mountain range. The feedback given to us after this test has enabled us to validate this down jacket for mountain trekking.

Product test
All our down jackets are laboratory tested with 5 km/h wind, worn as a 3rd layer on a thermal mannequin (over a long sleeved T-shirt and fleece). Their level of thermal insulation is measured on a scale of 1 to 5, enabling you to make the choice that best fits your use.

down walking jacket
Used for 1 week or less
Very warm, good insulation. Jacket sixe XXL good fit with good sleeve cuff length. Very pleased with product.
Great value
Great warmth to weight ratio and very compact. I'm 5'10'' slim build and size L was a perfect fit. Agree with others in that it would benefit from a cinch for the hood escpecially as the hood is not close fitting so will not move with your head. Also a inner pocket would be nice.Would be happy to pay more for these but not a deal breaker for me and a bargain at this price.

Excellent 2nd layer top.
Used for 2 to 8 weeks
Use it for skiing as a warm top 2nd layer under the shell jacket. Excellent. Replaced my two other 2nd layer tops for being lightweight, soft and breathable. After skiing in it for 10 days in January , bought another one to keep in reserve. At this price??
